Prominent breweries lure Utrecht’s beer-drinkers to Mother’s Finest

Rare international visitors on Europe’s summer beer circuit participate at Mother’s Finest Festival alongside respected Netherlands’ breweries.  Besides a few notable absences, the Dutch beer list comprehensively forms a who’s who of the country’s top beer producers. This painstakingly compiled participant list is excellent. It includes Bird Brewery, Brothers In Law Brewing, Brouwerij Het Licht, Brouwerij Hommeles, Brouwerij Maximus, Brouwerij De Leckere, Jopen, Lowlander Beer, Muifelbrouwerij, Oproer, Poesiat & Kater, Rock City Brewing, The Sisters Brewery and vandeStreek-bier.

The likes of Estonia’s Põhjala Brewery and Norway’s LERVIG, both extremely popular participants at Dutch Beer Festivals, representing international European breweries. Making a rare Netherlands appearance is London’s Meantime Brewing Company. But it’s London’s highly topical Beavertown Brewery proving to be the talk of the town.

New Zealand’s Yeastie Boys UK certainly proves popular and never fails to impress. However, enthusiastic visitors seek unfamiliar names and new taste experiences. Eager beer-lovers therefore expect great things from Chula Vista’s (San Diego) NOVO Brazil Brewing CO.

Transatlantic beer is presented in abundance at Mother’s Finest Festival, thanks to Breda Importer USA Beer. Some prestigious US breweries represent Coast-to-coast styles and tastes. Oregon’s Caldera Brewing Company and Lompoc Brewing, California’s Heretic Brewing Company, New York’s Sixpoint and Lexington’s Kentucky Ale, to name but a few

It’s surprising there’s no cider at Mother’s Finest Festival; Utrecht is renowned for top cider producers and distributors. More beer festivals will offer cider in future, thanks to its rapid popularity growth.

Between 14–16 September (2018!), all varieties of beer lovers and gregarious about towners will find their way to Utrecht’s Janskerkhof, a couple of minutes’ walk outside the city’s beating heart. Everybody enjoying a social highlight of the year. All relishing Mother’s Finest beer. Failing to attend will disappoint her.
