It is imperative the beer industry nurtures a much closer sense of togetherness, collaboration and cooperation in the coming months and years. A unified members' voice carries considerable clout and effects greater change. And greater change is needed for the industry to survive through 2020, and to recover and thrive in the years beyond.
Self-employed and freelance creatives must consider helping other small businesses as much as possible even if it means survival with no profit margin. Client decimation as a whole means much less future opportunity.
Likewise small businesses' creative needs—even in tough times—must support other small businesses. Remember: other small businesses are facing the same challenges as you.
Everybody needs to take small steps in challenging times. Survival is most important; no worthwhile business is profiteering.
My approach is to assist any struggling business (anywhere globally) with its writing needs at no immediate charge and at no set rate. So long as I agree with its ethics and behaviour. Let's just work together and see what happens.
